Do you truly believe in what you are praying for? Do you truly believe God WILL answer your prayers?
If not, are you sabotaging your prayers, negating what you just prayed for by the doubt in your heart (doubt, or worry that He won’t answer)?
James 1:6-7
“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.”
You negate your prayers by:
1. Negative talk, such as: He won’t or I’ll never get or do this etc.
2. Negative actions, praying for Him to help you or provide but by your actions it clearly states you don’t believe He will, by trying to work it out yourself and not waiting and giving Him a chance.
(Psalm 27:14) “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
3. Negative emotions or thinking—saying you believe but thinking He won’t, or prideful thinking or actions in general—
(James 4:6) “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
If you are prideful and rebellious, in general, that will also hinder your prayers, you must have a teachable spirit, be humble, cause not one person on earth knows EVERYTHING. This will hinder your prayers and your path.
(Proverbs 12:1) “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.”
(Proverbs 9:9) “Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.”
(Hebrews 12:5-7) “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?”
You can put up that wall of pride, refusing to surrender to God, but do not expect to outwit Him, God is more powerful than anyone and if He is trying to open your eyes to your wrong perception and actions, in order for a better path and purpose, so you can bet that He will allow whatever is needed in the form of trials to come your way until you choose to surrender.
(Isaiah 46:10) “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”
When you give into the negative thoughts, and speak negatively, and continue in pride and rebellion, you are giving into the devil and giving him ammunition against you. Stop it! He comes up with enough on his own. He does not need our help; did he die for us? NO! Jesus did! God says in Matthew 12:30 “Whoever is not with Me is against Me.”
Instead, speak life, with the Holy Spirit of God within us, that same Spirit that spoke and created the world is in US and we through the Holy Spirit have that same power through His Spirit, so speak life and in that you plant seeds.
(Genesis 8:22) “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
He says there shall always be seed time, and when you speak out the word of God, when you speak anything over yourself or your prayers, you will give seed to it. What will you choose, will you choose to speak life, and good things over yourself, or give the devil more ammunition?
When you speak life you plant seeds for the angels to run with, they are sent to minister to us. Are your angels out of work?
(Hebrews 1:14) “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”
(John 6:63) “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.”
(Proverbs 18:21) “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
As you speak life, keep; watering your seeds and prayers, through positive thinking, thanksgiving to God in advance for fulfilling it, and keep speaking words of faith and life over it until it manifests! As you water it with faith, God will make it grow!
(I Corinthians 3:6-7) “I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.”
Keep hoping and persevering doing what God has called you to do, until it manifests. Your dreams, your prayers will be answered and fulfilled. It is promised!
(Galatians 6:9) “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
(Philippians 1:6) “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
