(Psalm 5:12) “For surely you bless the righteous and You surround them with Your favor as with a shield.”
Do you truly know who you are in Christ? If you are a child of God then the promise in the Scripture above is for you! As children of God then we are royalty and co-heirs with Christ! Believe in your God given heritage! (Romans 8:17) “Now indeed if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.”
In order for you to know the promises of God, the kingdom privileges then you must read God’s Word! That is the reason He gave it to you, to teach you, train you, lead and guide you and give you the promises of His spoken Word in written word that you may be able to see it, read it and take it into your mind and your spirit and stand on it in times of trouble. The prince and princess of a palace does not worry about having a place to live or food to eat; with God as His children we need to have faith that if our heavenly Father would provide the sacrifice for our salvation, and how great that is in itself, then how much more so will He not give us all things as we need them? (Romans 8:32) “He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?”
When you go through hard times find God’s promises in His Word concerning your situation and pray it, speak it and stand on it! If God’s Word was good enough for Him to create us and the world then it is good enough for us; for His Holy Spirit lives and dwells in us. (II Timothy 1:14) “Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.” (Proverbs 18:21) “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (John 6:63) ‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.”
If things are not changing for you in your life, stop and look back at the words you have spoken and actions you have taken. Maybe it isn’t God that has not moved, maybe it is you. Maybe God is waiting for you to speak out His Word in faith and give Him something to work with; have you been utilizing the wonderful gift of His Word and His promises? If not and things are not changing then maybe that is the problem. He says, “Ask and you will receive.”
If your way has not been working then why keep doing it? You cannot plant apple seeds and expect an orange tree to grow. You cannot keep doing the same thing and expect a different outcome. God has wonderful things stored up for you, read His Word to find out what they are and how to ask.
(Psalm 40:5) “Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders You have done. The things You planned for us no one can recount to You; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.” You are blessed and highly favored of God!
