We all want our prayers answered yesterday, and our dreams to come true now, but that rarely happens. Things will happen in God’s timing, and trying to rush it in our own time, will only cause anxiety and frustration and it will never turn out as good as what God has in store. Keep focused on God, seek Him and His will first.
I Chronicles 16:11
“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.”
We are called to set our minds on things that pertain to walking in obedience to God, surrendering our will to put Him first, as we do that, we keep our joy and peace as we trust Him and put Him first.
Colossians 3:2-3
“Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”
Isaiah 26:3
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Matthew 6:32-33
“For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”
When you are so focused on getting or not getting the answer to your prayers, it not only steals your peace and joy; “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
it becomes an idol, because of the place of importance you placed on it, that you cannot be happy unless you receive it.
When you are struggling with God’s timing of your unanswered prayers and dreams, go to Him and prayer and give it over to Him, He wants to help and “longs to be gracious to you.” (Isaiah 30:18)
Psalm 68:19
“Praise the Lord who daily bears our burdens.”
Psalm 55:22
“Cast your cares upon the Lord, and He will sustain you. He will never let the righteous be shaken.”
According to Psalm 139, God knows you, and He knows what is on your heart to say even before you say it. He just wants you to come to Him to ask, to cry on His shoulders. He will comfort you and give you peace. “My peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” (John 14:27)
True faith, strong faith does not give up; it continues on knowing what was asked and prayed for will come to pass. God is trying to build your faith so it is strong and immoveable.
When you get to a point where your peace is being robbed by worry and anxiety, get in His presence and be still, and allow Him to comfort and encourage you.
Psalm 46:10
“Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.”
Proverbs 16:3
“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Keep working, keep praying, keep reading the Bible, keep going to Church, keep doing what GOD has placed in your heart to do while waiting on Him to bring you dreams and answered prayers to pass.
Psalm 37:1-7
“Do not fret over those who do evil; do not envy those who do wrong.
For they wither quickly like grass and wilt like tender plants. Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him.”
Then God make it happen in His timing and in His way and it will be better than you could ask or imagine.
Psalm 31:14-16
But I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.
Make Your face shine on Your servant; save me by Your loving devotion.”
I Peter 5:6-7
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you. Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”
As you wait and keep going, wait in expectancy and thank Him in advance. Then be amazed at how He answers your prayers and brings your dreams to pass.
God will keep His promises, He will fight for your deliverance, trust Him.
Exodus 14:13-14
“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the LORD’s salvation, which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
