(Ecclesiastes 3:4) “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.”
It is time to dance! It is time to start dancing and enjoying God your Father! It is time to start looking at the glass “half full” instead of “half empty!” We all go through one change after another and one issue after another. Face it, we live in a fallen world, but take heart dear child of God for Jesus says, “I have overcome the world.” If Jesus truly lives within you, then you have overcome as well! The kingdom of heaven is with you, when trouble hits, just look inside! The answers you need reside within your heart, the place where the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ dwells. (Luke 17:21) “The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.” Jesus always has the answer, He is the Way! (John 14:6) “I am the Way and the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me.”
You’re not making enough at your current job; be glad that you have one! There doesn’t seem to be that many Christians where you work; be glad that our Lord has entrusted you with that battle ground to be His witness and His voice and His arms of love when needed at your place of employment! You live in a small apartment and can never seem to be able to afford a house; be glad that you have a place to live. Your family members are not saved and by the fruit of their lips, it shows; be glad that you have a family and that they are still alive. There are many lonely people in the world with no family or friends. There is always a positive side to everything.
Peter walked on water toward Jesus and it wasn’t until he started looking at his surroundings that he started to sink. As long as you emphasize the negative, you will always sink and always stay in your current situation longer than you want to stay. It keeps you with an unappreciative, discontented heart. The Israelites took 40 years to make an 11-day journey due to their constant complaining and lack of faith. You complain and you will remain. Are you ready to move on? (Deuteronomy 1:6) “You have stayed long enough at this mountain.”
There is always positive in every circumstance; you just have to be willing to seek it out. Doesn’t it sadden you when your children are forever asking and are never satisfied? Doesn’t it break your heart when they do not appreciate your hard work to clothe them, feed them, take care of them and provide a roof over their heads? God is the same way. We are made in His image, (Genesis 1:27) “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
The emotions we have came from Him. He wants to be loved and appreciated as well. Let today be a new beginning for you. One in which you start to really see the beauty of the world around you and all the things that God has blessed you with and you have taken for granted. It is time to dance!
“This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)
