Rest Is In Total Trust

“That You may give him rest from the days of adversity until the pit is dug for the wicked.” (Psalm 94:13)

Everyone wants a break now and then, especially when you have been undergoing a very long and arduous trial. God longs to give you that and He even says, “There is a season for everything.”

God wants you to grow in faith and spiritual maturity.  This is a place, just like Jesus when He was in a boat with His disciples, and it was surrounded by a vicious storm.   The disciples were afraid, and Jesus was asleep in the boat.

You may say, “Yes, but He is Jesus who has the power of God.”  Yes, but with His Holy Spirit in us, so do we.  Your faith connects you to His power just like the power cord of a lamp.  Fatih connects you to the power of God just like the power cord, when plugged in, connects you to the power source.

God wants you to have a faith that cannot be shaken.

“He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.” (Psalm 62:6)

God wants to get you to a place where even though unexpected large bills hit out of nowhere, your troubled teen seems to be getting worse, you lose your job or your spouse walks out, you still trust God and you are saying the words of this verse:

“Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident.” (Psalm 27:3)

Rest is when you know that you know that you know, that God Almighty, El Shaddai, will ALWAYS, be there for you, back you up, and lead you through every circumstance in victory!  You are not worried; you trust God completely.  This is true rest and victory.  When Satan wants you fearful, anxious, worried, upset, and depressed, you are walking through your day full of the joy of the Lord, praising God, being His voice, hands, feet, and heart to those in need!

We live in a fallen world and Jesus says, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

So even though things are falling down around you, you are standing in faith; immovable, and doing the will of God.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (I Corinthians 15:58)

Whatever is going on in your life, you can trust God completely.  He gave you the Holy Spirit to lead you, teach you, comfort you, and remind you of everything the Lord has taught us.  Rely on Him.

And give Him something to remind you, read the Word!  It is your weapon; “Sharper than any double-edged sword.”

As you stay close to the Lord through prayer, worship, and praise, reading the Word, and obeying as He leads, you will walk in triumph through every situation in a state of peace and contentment, pure rest because you trust God completely!

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

 (I Corinthians 15:57)

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (II Corinthians 2:14)
