(Isaiah 43:18-19) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
In Joshua, the Lord had commanded the Israelites to cross the Jordan to the other side and begin to possess the Promised Land but there was a river in-between. Have you ever been there? Have you ever been in a place in which you needed to get to the other side of your problems and there seemed to be no way? With God all things are possible; He is a God of the impossible.
(Matthew 19:26) “Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
God will provide a way when there seems to be no way!
(I Corinthians 10:13) “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
God commanded them to cross over. He told the priests carrying the Ark to stand in the Jordan and they did as God commanded. Miracles happen when we obey in faith; the waters part! We step out in faith first then God follows through.
(Psalm 27:13) “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
God told them to stand in the Jordan. We are to stand in the middle of our problem; stand when mountains of bills surround us and with our minuscule finances there seems to be no way possible of paying them. We are to stand being confident in the love and faithfulness of our God knowing “He will never fail or forsake us.”
Stand trusting in Him and not in our own strength. Stand with your head held high in faith and not hung low in doubt and despair.
(Proverbs 3:5-6) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Stand up in your spirit in faith trusting God and He will provide a way of escape. They obeyed and God followed through; the waters parted! We are priests carrying the Ark; the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ within our hearts and as He did for them He will do for us. He “shows no favoritism.”
The priests carrying the Ark stepped into the waters and they parted. We act in faith first and then the waters of our troubles part. Just like plugging an electrical cord into a socket. You plug it in calling out the power source and turn on the light! You call on the Power Source of our God when you act in faith.
They crossed over and the Lord commanded Joshua to have one man from each tribe gather a stone from the middle of the Jordan and build an altar as a sign and a testimony to their children. Are you giving your children and your family and friends a testimony?
(Joshua 4:8) "So the Israelites did as Joshua commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, as the Lord had told Joshua."
Keep walking in faith; with each step, you are creating a testimony and your step of faith pulls from the power source of our God and parts the water; answering your prayers. Then manifestation happens!
(Hebrews 11:1)“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
