What is Integrity?

What is integrity? The definition is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness, or whole and undivided.

What does it look like in our daily life?

It is doing what is right whether people’s eyes are on you or not. It is having true, moral core values and living by them because it is what you choose and have to do to feel right about yourself.

Integrity shines from a person and people learn to depend on you and trust you.

How do you want people to perceive you? Do you want them to trust you, to depend on you, and know that if there is a policy, a job duty, or even a favor, they can trust you to get it done and done correctly?

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” (Proverbs 11:3)

Walking through life with integrity pleases the Lord and your way is protected.

“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

(Proverbs 10:9)

Because of my integrity, you uphold me and set me in your presence forever.” (Psalm 41:12)

So, how do you want to live your life? One that tries to deceive by going behind people’s backs to get your way, one that cheats or steals, one that talks bad about others behind their backs, one that lives to please themselves at the cost of others, or one that pleases God.

God sees everything and nothing is hidden from Him and He will make it known.

“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” (Luke 8:17)

“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13)

The choice is yours, how do you want to live your life?

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live, and that you may love the Lord your God, obey Him, and hold fast to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life in the land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)
